Solutions

Every spot has a weakness. We know all of them.

We spent our youth studying architecture with a skateboard. Now we use that same reading of a space to defend it. Below is the full spectrum of what we design, manufacture, and install.

Product line 01

Ledge skate stoppers

The original deterrent, done properly. A ledge is a grind because the edge is uninterrupted. Break that edge at the right intervals and the trick dies - every time, on every approach.

  • Bracket stoppers - L-profile stainless brackets that wrap the edge; the industry standard for existing stone and concrete.
  • Stud & puck stoppers - low-profile discs for surfaces where a bracket would read too heavy.
  • Cast-in systems - specified into new construction before the concrete is poured.
Materials304 & 316 stainless, powder-coated steel, cast bronze
MountingMechanical bolt, structural epoxy, or cast-in
SpacingEngineered per ledge - typically 450-600mm, set by board length and approach speed
SurfacesGranite, marble, poured concrete, brick, steel edging

Metal knobs fitted along the length of a stair handrail to prevent skateboard grinding

Handrail knobbing

A knobbed rail is a dead rail. Welded or bolted along the tube, our knobs remove the clean line a board or truck needs - while the rail keeps doing its actual job for the people who hold it.

  • Welded knobs - permanent, matched to rail material and finish, dressed back to a clean look.
  • Clamp-on knobs - reversible, no hot works, ideal for listed buildings and leased sites.
  • New-build knobbed rails - complete replacement rails with the defense built in from the mill.

Spacing is not guesswork. Too few knobs and the rail still rides; too many and it looks like a weapon. We set patterns that stop tricks and stay comfortable under a hand.

Bank & slope deterrents

Sloped concrete is a launch ramp with an address. We decommission banks with embedded systems that kill speed and pop without creating trip hazards for the public.

  • Embedded knobs and bumps - set in a grid across the slope to break the ride surface.
  • Textured strips - gravel and exposed-aggregate bands that rob momentum at the base.
  • Edge treatments - coping interruption for transitions and quarter-like forms.

Every bank job starts with drainage and pedestrian safety review - a deterrent that pools water or catches a cane is a liability, not a solution.

Benches & site furnishings

The same design family that keeps a bench a bench - dividers, armrests, segmented seating - also keeps boards off it. We design and retrofit site furniture that serves the public and refuses the trick.

  • Bench dividers and intermediate armrests, retrofitted or specified new
  • Segmented and contoured seating that cannot be ridden or slept on
  • Planter edging and wall caps matched to the wider deterrent system

The Fallen Leaf Series - ornamental deterrents

Our signature line, and the one architects ask for by name. Cast-metal leaves - maple, oak, ginkgo, and custom regional species - are bolted along bench edges and scattered across ledge tops like they fell there. The public sees autumn. A skateboard sees a minefield. Camouflaged deterrence: no visual hostility, total functional denial.

Maple

The original. Cast with vein detail and a natural tilt, bolted through the stem so only some happen to guard the edge.

Bronze oak leaf deterrents bolted along a park bench edge among scattered decorative leaves

Oak

Bronze, weathered to a deep park-brown. Sits naturally against timber, brick, and heritage stone.

Mixed cast metal leaves - maple, ginkgo and oak - along the edge of a granite ledge

Mixed scatter

Maple, ginkgo and oak in weathered steel and bronze, laid in a natural fall pattern across the whole ledge.

Custom runs: send us your region's flora, your brand motif, or your architect's concept - we cast it into a working deterrent.

Service

Custom deterrent engineering

Some spots do not take an off-the-shelf answer. Heritage facades, art-piece plazas, schools with strict safety codes, parks with public-realm guidelines - we engineer the system around the constraints.

  • Site survey and skate-traffic assessment (we read the spot like the people riding it)
  • CAD drawings and mounting engineering for your architect or facilities team
  • Prototype casting and finish matching
  • Installation by our international partner network, or supervised install by your contractor
  • Maintenance and inspection programs for municipal clients
